The society is a independent civic organisation. The society was established 1977 and after years of silence it was reorganized 1994. Finnish Zambian society is a member of the Union of  Finnish-African societies and Kepa.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB"> The society has tried from the late 1990’s to promote Zambia and its culture e.g. by participating annually to World village festival. Time is flying! Therefore it is also crucial that members pay the membership fees for this year. The activities can be implemented only if we receive the budgeted funds. Autumn approaches and there will be activities coming so we need every ones membership fee.  The Agm in the end of March decided that the membership fee for 2006 is <b>15 €. </b> Please pay it as soon as possible to the societies account Sampo <b> 800016-1759088</b>. Rome was not built in a day and is never going to be ready. The good thing is that it is rather easy to develop and update the pages with the modern tools. It is more a question of the contents. Please feel free to suggest which kind of improvements we should make. For instance which kind of useful links to other pages we should have: Finnish links, Zambian links, should we have a section where members (those who want) could present themselves and there own lives with text, pictures, contact info. Should we have a possibility to chat among the members?
